The UDL guidelines framework is based on an understanding of how the brain works and how therefore we should organise learning. It's brilliant and simple too.

Given that we know still more about brains and the importance of social relationships in brain development is a potential for a fourth strand to wander in?

If so could it look like this?

(The green, purple and blue sections are the official CAST UDL framework and the yellow is my offering as a potential finesse).

The rubric in the yellow column is also mine and ironically absent from the very collaborative process I am advocating, hence I am throwing it out for scrutiny.
